The way each character compliments another's skills is impressive and always allows for payoffs that make you want to high-five yourself once you succeed. Every stage feels like, and is, a meticulously crafted puzzle-box of devious and smartly designed traps, enemy placements, environmental trickery and badass ambushes waiting to be planned. What that apparently translates to is commanding a gang of up to five assassins with different skill sets through punishing difficulty, overcoming being massively outnumbered at all times and zero non-stealth combat if things go south.įirst of all, the level and encounter design is outstanding. Shadow Tactics is a 'Hardcore Tactical Stealth Game' apparently in the vein of Commandos and Desperados, which I had never played nor heard of prior. ![]() ![]() You ever blind-buy a game because it's on sale, the cover looks cool and it turns out to be so damn good that you want to tell everyone about it? Me neither really but this one somehow did that and warranted a LTTP thread as a first for me. ![]()
